A survival horror game with fixed camera angles, originally released as a remake of the 1996 classic and later remastered in HD, where a special forces member explores a mysterious mansion, solving puzzles, managing limited resources, and surviving against deadly creatures.
Run Submission Requirements
- Full, unedited video proof is required.
- Video and Audio must be clearly visible and audible.
For Full Runs:
- The run must start from a new save
- Usually some kind of ending is achieved
For Mini-Challenges:
- These are for Boss Challenges, Individual Levels, or something similar.
For Challenges:
- Refer to default global rules. Keep in mind these are generally how the challenges are done. If you or your community feels something is unavoidable, it can be listed as an exception.
These defaults apply while game-specific rules are under community review.
These rules have been proposed by the community and are under review. They will become official when this game moves to Active status.
- The video must start from the game’s main menu.
- The final results screen shown after the credits must be included in the video, as it displays play time, creatures dispatched, ammo used, ink ribbons used and health items used.
- Certain advanced gameplay techniques (like quick shooting, pump cancel and stair skating) are allowed.
- Remapping your controller for easy stair skating on the PC version of the game is allowed (but you have to show the inputs via gamepad viewer or any other software).
- Door skip mod is allowed.
- Cosmetic modifications (such as character skins) are allowed as long as they do not affect gameplay and do not include any inappropriate or explicit (NSFW) content.
- Saving is only allowed using the game’s built-in save system. External tools or programs (such as trainers or debug menus) are not allowed. Save files may only be created in case of a crash, and only if the run is being streamed.
- Runs that are not streamed must be completed in a single session, with no saves at all.
- No Damage and No Hit are completely separated categories/restrictions, this should not be confused since they are different runs. No damage implies that the life bar does not drop below 100% at any point in the game and no hit implies other characteristics that are explained in the restriction "Hitless".
